As I thought about what to share with you this day my mind kept coming back to the Apostle Paul as he addressed the church in Thessalonica “We always thank God for all of you and continually mention you in our prayers. 3 We remember before our God and Father your work produced by faith, your labor prompted by love, and your endurance inspired by hope in our Lord Jesus Christ.” 1 Thessalonians 1:2-3 (NIV) As a Pastor, you want to be amongst your sheep. But like me, Paul was isolated from them (he was probably in Corinth). But as I read these words and mediated on them, it struck me that Paul (like me) was enjoying so many fond memories – celebrating such great times in ministry together and rejoicing in the enthusiasm and growth of his flock. As I sit and think, these days, so many things go through my head but be assured that God is stirring my heart as I think of you folks. You are “in my prayers” and “your work produced by faith, your labor prompted by love and your endurance inspired by hope in the Lord Jesus Christ” is a catalyst in my life as I journey on through these challenging times. On this Tuesday March 17 of 2020, I want to encourage you by how you have encouraged me. Thank you for all the great memories – past and present – they are an awesome motivator and comfort to me. God bless you – keep safe and keep cool – Pastor Ralph
