“If we pause to think we’ll have cause to thank.” As I have thought and prayed about what to share with you as our week comes to a close, the Lord kept bringing my thoughts back to you, the reader. As I reflected, my heart was warmed and my spirit encouraged by how so many have joined me on this journey through the daily reflections and weekly sermons. The response has been overwhelming. I am so glad we can share, this way, as we navigate a time like no other in modern history. Your many kind words and encouraging comments have kept me fuelled to write and speak like no other time in my Pastoral experience. Each day, I seek God’s wisdom as to how I can effectively bring hope, love and steadfastness to you from God’s word. I would remind us all this day, “God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble.” Psalm 46:1 (NIV)
I saw this and it really resonated with me, and with what I do as a Pastor, “I not only use all the brains I have but all that I can borrow.” I take my calling very seriously. I work hard to create useful and God honouring messages that reflect sound Biblical reasoning and the voice of good Bible scholars. As one person has said, “An open mind is fine - but be careful what you shovel into it.”
Please keep me in your prayers (as I know you do) as I work each day to bring His word to you. “So, my brothers whom I love and long for, my joy and my crown, do stand firmly in the Lord, and remember how much I love you.” Philippians 4:1 (JBP) Remember my friends, “By perseverance the snail reached the ark.” (Charles Spurgeon)
Hang in. Hold tight. The Savior is with you! I look forward to Sunday! See you then! God bless you and thank you as we continue to work as a team! Pastor Ralph
