Living the Love of Jesus

When I got home Saturday evening, after taping our Sunday message, I listened to my phone messages.  One message was from a dear Senior, in our congregation, who was so very thankful for a kind, loving deed one of our Deacons had done.  This particular Deacon had phoned this person, who had no computer, and had read all of the daily devotions and also played Sunday's message to them over the phone.  It made the Senior's day and their life was radiating with JOY.  It deeply touched my Pastor heart, to see, as we have talked about, the love of Christ being shared (in a responsible way) during this challenging time.  We are so blessed to have the leadership team that we do. We are also so blessed to have the wonderful congregation we have - people who reach out in so many ways to share the grace of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.  I know there are many other examples of precious ministry going on even as I write.  God bless you.

It is a time where we are practicing safe protocols – social distancing and, where necessary, self isolation.  As Christians, we need to act in a responsible and integral way as we follow the advice of our health care officials and political leaders.  Yet as we do, there are so many ways God has provided for us to care deeply about one another: prayer, telephone, emails, social media, etc.   Thank you Stoney Creek Baptist. You are graciously paving the way for so many to see Jesus in action.

I want to also thank the Lord for what He is doing through our website.  The response has been overwhelming – praise God He is so gracious!

As we said Sunday “hang tight” and “hold on.”  Remember, He will never let you go!

I close with the Apostles Creed. May the words of this historic document remind us of the scriptural truths we cherish and the victory and sovereignty of Jesus Christ.  He truly is Lord.  Have a great day. Keep safe and, as you are doing, keep in the love of Jesus – Pastor Ralph

I BELIEVE in God, the Father almighty, creator of heaven and earth. I believe in Jesus Christ, his only Son, our Lord. He was conceived by the power of the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary. He suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died, and was buried. He descended into hell or He descended to the dead. On the third day he rose again. He ascended into heaven, and is seated at the right hand of the Father. He will come again to judge the living and the dead. I believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy catholic Church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and the life everlasting. Amen
