This Sunday is a special day, a day we celebrate Motherhood and all the women in our lives. We will devote our Sunday message and time to you. As a prelude, I would like to say thank you this morning for all you ladies are and have done for us as husbands, children, church members and friends. Your contributions will only be fully realized in heaven. I know in my own personal life as a Pastor, you ladies have played such a crucial role. I would not have achieved my goals or would be unable to function, daily, in my profession without you. As a fellow pilgrim, Pastor and friend, I say thank you from the bottom of my heart – God has richly blessed me through your lives.I want to encourage you this day as we celebrate your contributions of …
Incredible energy. You work so hard for us, with such dedication. It just blows me away. When I reflect back over my lifetime and as I celebrate each new day, I am amazed at all the ladies in my life bring to the table. Thank you.
Incredible courage. You ladies lead the way as you serve us though the courage you exhibit in many of life’s challenges. I read this quote the other day and it really struck home about many ladies in my life, “Courage isn’t having the strength to go on, it is going on when you do not have the strength.” Many a lady have carried others across the finish line because of their courage. Again thank you.
Incredible intelligence, talents and gifts. I think of the women that surround me and say, "WOW". You ladies are so awesome. You bring so much to my own personal life and the life of our church. You empower us through humility, love and grace. Thank you.
Incredible servanthood. Servanthood is born through selfless love and dedication. The ladies I know live this truth,
“Give me a heart of a servant,
tender and faithful and true
Fill me with love and then use me O Lord,
so that the world may see you.”
I praise God and thank Him daily for you!
Incredible love. You ladies love so unconditionally, so sacrificially and so faithfully. John says, “Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one’s life for one’s friends.” (John 15:13 NIV) Daily, you lay down your lives, in so many ways for us, showing us what Jesus is all about. Thank you!
Quite literally, I scramble for words to describe you ladies. I think the best way to put my thoughts and feelings into words is to call you “life changers!” You are, in real life analogies, “life changers." So if someone is bugging you in the days ahead just say to them, “Back off, I am a life changer!” (LOL) To all you “life changers”, we say thank you. We owe you more than we can ever say.
